you can transfer VHS to DV via a DV cam which then in
turn can be transfered to computer via Pinnacle for
example which can the be turned into a watchable DVD
so long as your player will play dvdR. the other way
is, once it is on computer it can be compressed into
VCD which most cheap dvd players will now play back
pinnacle is not expensive and your bound to know some
one with a DV camera - not quite the same as buying
it but it works
