Hi Alli.
Just finishing my PhD in English Literature, I did it on the
implications of digital technology for writing and the subject and
used the books of Alasdair Gray as model and goad. It's been
really interesting but I'm completely terrified about this oral exam
tomorrow. Should be working on it as we speak (or write) but fear
can have a funny time-wasting effect! I also do a bit of teaching
on the subject to undergrads at the uni. I really love it but the pay
isn't great for the amount of work I have to put in. Worth it
though. Have been wondering how I can come up with an
interesting paper on The Black Rider, or the carnivalesque in Tom
Waits music - am sure there must be some way to do it!
