Marco, Eric and the Good Doctor,
Alas, I am neither famous nor a writer, although I
share my name with a once famous Eurovision Song
Contest winner (not the transexual one from Israel, but
more on that later) and a Canadian athlete. This is not
another puzzle.
Anyway, it's funny how we describe typing as 'writing',
in the same way as we can describe a writer as a
'scribe' even though the original scribes used quills.
You see you can write by pressing buttons on a
keyboard, but you can't 'scrib(e)ble' by pressing them.
Now that we have voice recognition software, you can
even 'write ' without using your fingers at all, but
still write a book. (I also share my surname with a
writer who could not write with his hands) You can
dictate a letter or a book and still have written them.
How many famous dictators wrote their books, or were
the dictators dictaters?
