The only one I know of those is Van's . I'll look out
for the others.

I agree with you about the covers, but really only if
something different is done with the song.

It's great to hear someone cover a song and make it
their own.

Like Joe Cocker " Little help from my friends" as
opposed to Wet Wet Wet's attempt (In my opinion,
although Marty Pellow has a lovely smile - I took Mrs
Ginsoaked to see Chicago and he was in it).

And Springsteen has turned "Jersy Girl" into a kind of
signature tune. I think he has said that it is the one
song that he wishes he wrote.

That is one great thing about P2P sharing, you can come
across verions of songs that you didn't even know
existed. When England won the Rugby World Cup, I made a
CD of versions of "Swing Low Sweet Chariot" as a p
take for some Irish friends- would you believe I got
over 25 different ones.

And trying to remember that Destiny's Child song by
Elbow, I think it was "Independent Women"
(ginsoakedboy hot quite up to speed with the Hit
Parade , obviously)

I must get Billy Stewart's "Summertime" to send you if
you have not heard it. I bet theres a few dozen
versions of that, or "My Way". Have there been two more
different versions of any song than Sinatra and the
Pistols?

Very dissapointed with Sinead O'Connor's album of roots
reggae covers. Love reggae, especaislly 70's stuff,
like O'Connor but this did not do anything for me at all.
