Hi Harry,
here in Germany we knew Herman Brood as well and not
only because of his connections to Nina Hagen.
I first saw him on stage I think in the early
eighties at a small festival, together with Nektar
and some other bands.
I also followed his funeral, which was sent in the
radio for about 3 hours in hardly every radio station
all over the Netherlands. For me it was deeply
impressing. I was, just like tomorrow again
(hoera !!), on the way to Ameland to spend my
holidays. On the ferry I had to stay in the car, I
couldnīt get out, because this was the point where
they played "My Way", his last recording, done a few
days before he jumped off the Hilton.
