Been away for much too long, apologies, apologies,
apologies, missed you all, so had to get back again
on the forum, all you all still there (here?), guess
so. Been busy with things not interesting enough to
write about.
Bought a LP (Long Playing Record, something from
prehistoric times), The Black Rider Marz 1990, with
the following songs, I guess you all downloaded it a
long time ago, but I am very happy with the carton
version of a real long playing record:
1 Black Rider (opening)
2 November
3 The right bullets
4 The briar and the rose
so far this all sounds familiar, doesn't it?
But then:
5 George Schmid (who the hell is George Schmid?)
6 Chase the clouds at (another enigmatic title
wouldn't you say so? Chase the clouds at (at what?)
7 Flash pan hunter (familiar again)
8 Instrumental
9 ? by W.S. Burroughs (intesting title, no? ? by W.S.
Burroughs, it is really printed like this on the
sleeve
10 In the morning (also interesting, because the real
Tom Waits fan immediately starts singing: And in the
morning I'll be GONE, with the emphasis on Gone, and
we hear a cock kukelekuing in the background, don't
we), but this is a completely different song
11 Gospel train
12 I'll shoot the moon
13 Instrumental
14 The last rose of summer
When I bought it, I thought this would be one of
those bootlegs on cd, and was surprised to receive a
real longplaying record, wow, with sleeve and all. I
even installed an old pick up player to listen to it.
I was even more surprised when I didn't hear some
amateur German singer perform these songs, but Mr
Waits himself. Again: you will probably all have
these songs, but I am very happy with it.
OK, is this good enough as getting-back-to-the-forum-
introduction?
Is Marco still around? I am sure Alli is and Eric,
and I guess Liat too? If she is not too busy making
icecream? And Ginsoaked Boy? If he is not drenched
too much in Gin?
Good to be back folks, will never leave you again.
