Hi everyone !
Great to read all your messages.
Don't worry, I'm safe. Went out last monday in Bangkok
and spent the night in places I would never take my
mum for all the free haircuts of the world :-). It was
9th on Hennepin, Singapore and Xmas card... all mixed
up (don't worry, I'm safe). Went to bed at 5, got up
at 6 for a 14 hour hectic bus trip to Siem Reap in
Cambodia. Hectic indeed, for there'no road, only HUGE
holes and mud for the 200 km from the thai border to
here. Although the driver was going like 30km/h you
had the feeling you were on a fast train to hell
(don't worry, I'm safe). Luckily, I had a pretty
neighbour (she was not so safe ;-). Drunk beer all the
way and we arrived very late because of the numerous
piss stops me and the people near my beer bag
continuously asked the driver. We also had to stop for
half an hour because the bridge we were supposed to
take had just broken down, and they had to repair it
(don't worry, I'm safe) My first impression of
Cambodia is very wild, very poor, very smily and
very... far from home.
Here hunters hunt bugs. You see hundred of glowing
traps in the night. Impressive. I don't know yet what
they are for, but I did check my breakfat this
morning, I tell ya !!! (but don't worry, I'm safe)
This afternoon I'm heading for the famous temples.
That should be fabulous.
The hardest thing about this trip so far is that I
didn't take my cd player so this'll be 3 weeks without
Tom, but I did take my bottle of bourbon along (and
you know it's true)
Marco, this forum is not for politics but what the
hell ! I did vote last sunday (by proxy) and I'm very
happy withe the results. Vive l'Europe !

Love heatwave from Cambodia

Eric
