Tom Waits is always credited with this phrase.
I read William S Burroughs wrote it.
Today I find out it's the title of a famous old song
written in 1929 by (music) walter donaldson, (lyrics)
edgar leslie and has been recorded dozens of times.

I only happened across this info because I was watching
Amy G doing Skulls on the Midnight Ukulele Disco
website (www.ukuleledisco.com) and the words to the
song she was dancing to lit a lightbulb in my otherwise
heat frazzled brain.

It's quite funny. I knew there'd be some ukulele/Tom
Waits connection somewhere out there on the information
super highway.

I am spreading this news across a couple of forums (is
forA the correct plural term?) so apologies if you've
seen it already.

Have a nice week.
A
