It is nice to see that people apparently like the
music of Waits and that they play it on the street.
For the rest I personally like it better if people
sing in their own voice and make their own gestures,
also when they sing other people's songs, but that is
just my personal taste. (I like for instance Claudia
Bettinaglio, because on her cd I hear Waits' music
sung with a female voice and with a female 'feel',
and I like for instance Anne Sophie Von Otter's
version of Take It With Me, together with Elvis
Costello, for me those versions add something to the
original). In this 'clip' I liked the sound of the
guitar. I would certainly have dropped a dime (or
two) in the hat (if there was one), but I would not
have bought a cd (if there was one).
