i have a large picture of tom waits on my binder for
school, so i can stare at it in class, and maybe even
get people interested somehow. actually i have several
pictures. they're nice. but anyhow. i was in spanish
today and my teacher walks up to my desk (we were just
reading about.. something) and she points at the
picture and said
"esta murio? no?" (he died, right?)
so i replied,
"nooo! tenia un nueva cd este ano. estaba 55, no esta
muerte." (nooo! he had a new cd this year. he's 55,
not dead.)
but she didnt really seem interested.
also my friend natalie claims he sounds like he is
passing kidney stones. so every time she sees the
picture she just points and says. " ha. kidney stones"
today she said real gone was "well... not good"
i said she's not cool enough to understand how good it
really is. other than that she's very nice...
see what kind of discrimination i face as a tom waits
fan? its quite sad. but i hope this was amusing to
anyone. i just thought id share.
