Raindog Harry | 15.11.2004 11:19 | On Carre Today in the Dutch newspaper an article on the renovated Carre. The hall will be officially reopened by the queen today. In the newspaper beautiful picture of the new hall, and reassuring text for those suffering from Vertigo ;-). They write that the comfort is modern, that the chairs have been improved, even up high, so that you do no longer have to search for your chairs with the fear of losing you life ;-)) as the backs of the new chairs are now higher than before. Also the space for ones legs has been enlarged now (indeed there was not a lot of space for the legs before). Also the beautiful large lamps will be raised before the start of each show, so that the sight will not be hampered for anyone. Sounds good eh? For the rest the building is described as a place in which it is so nice to clap your hands. Plus, there is a new, second foyer, and under the roof one can see parts of the construction designed by mr Eiffel, yes, the one from Eiffeltower fame. So, there will be at least some chance that the roof will not fall upon our heads... ("Falling down, Falling down...") - It's getting better by the day folks... Raindog H. |
