Nicole | 23.12.2004 00:12 | xmas contest this isnt really a characterization, but i thought it was s pretty cool description. this was from a newspaper, the oregonian, the top 10 jazz and pop cd's of the year. Real Gone was one of them... it said: "For years, Tom Waits - along with co-producer/co- writer/wife Kathleen Brennan- has been perfecting a unique musical world, a dark, scabrous sonic landcape full of twisted Faulknerian characters stumbling amid indefatigable heartache and menacable fate. Imagine a 1950's pulp novel scored by captain Beefheart." i would give a link but i cant find it online... |
