ginsoakedboy | 03.12.2005 20:13 | Nothing to say NOBODY HAS ANYTHING TO SAY!! I just bought me a little mp3 player, a 1G one for £50. (None of yer fancy iPods in the ginsoakedhousehold) and so far I have put 6 TW albums and a rake of old reggae on it. I also have a "Sleep" folder that I listen to to send me to sleep. In this sleep folder are songs that send me to sleep. You see, I won an mp3 player a few years ago , when they were newish, and it has a 32M card. On this I put "Police and Thieves" _Junuior Murvin "Underneath it all" - No Doubt "Do your Thing" - Basement Jaxx "Flower Duet" - Maria Callas et al "Sick Bed of Cuchulainn" - Pogues "Yellow" - Coldplay I had these songs on it, and sometimes when I couldn't sleep would listen to the player. Over time I think I have conditioned my brain to go to sleep when hearing this playlist. It was so succesful that I rarely got even to the Pogues before I was pushing up zeds. IT is now broken, so I had to buy a new one. I may be the only person who uses a Basement Jaxx track as a lullaby. Only problem was "Yellow" was set a bit too loud and used to wake me up again sometimes, so I have got rid of it and will put Anthony & the J's "Someone to take care of me " instead. Two Questions 1: Can you train yourself to go to sleep to certain music? IF so , do it now before you have sleep problems. Gin is not the only answer!! 2: Didn't have any TW on it but would any of you have 5 or 6 TW songs for bedtime? |
