The people who hate to walk (it is November so
drizzling all day): There is a metro leaving from
Amsterdam Central Station to the metro station called
Weesperplein (which is the second metro station from
the Central Station, if I remember well the first
metro station would be Wibautstraat. The correct
metro would be the one in the *direction* of Gein,
BUT that is the final stop, so *don't* stay on the
line until there or you'll be in time trouble ;-)) -
There are more metro lines so check well and do not
step into one going in another direction ;-) - You
need strippencards which you can buy at the metro
stations and/or in shops that sell magazines, etc.
and on the Central Station, also from ticket
machines, coins needed - Carre is 6 minutes walking
from metrostation Weesperplein, practically around
the corner from the metro station exit and close to
the famous Amstel Hotel. (There is also a telephone
service on 0900-9292 by the way, (not sure if you can
dial it with your mobile phones), if you stay on the
line long enough a flesh-and-blood-lady will appear,
not sure if they will speak English. On this
telephone line one can ask the directions from
anywhere to anywhere in case you get lost somewhere
in Amsterdam.

OK folks, now I DO have to leave.
