From Berlin to A'Dam they were flying economy class
with KLM ( cheapskates - the 11.40 was a special KLM
offer, cheaper than other flights that day), but i
dont think they will do so again.There was about 15 of
them in the TW party, and they were getting hassle
over excess baggage.Larry Taylor(bass player) had been
told at check-in he could take 2 bags on to the
plane,but at the departure gate he was then told he
must take one of his bags back to check-in and put it
in the hold.Boy,were they all mad.I was in the back
seat next to some of the tour production team and the
guy who's making the documentary of the trip( TW was
about 8 rows in front), and i was surprised they were
all slumming it in Economy.Maybe Uncles Biltmore &
William had given them financial advice about
thriftiness!
MARY: no hat either time i saw him,he was wearing
denim jacket and black jeans. He's also shorter than
he looks on stage, and fiddles with his chin a lot!!He
also hides behind newspapers to avoid detection,but
his son kept coming up and pestering him.Families,huh?
By the way,are you from Glasgow,Mary?
