The story, as Tom tells it, is that the waitresses are supposed to be rude, but that he was served by the one nice one, so complained and got her fired. The reality is that the waitress who served him was a big fan and unsurprisingly treated him like royalty. He was apparently very courteous to everyone, and nobody got the sack!
