This is one of our favourite topics of conversation on wine-filled
evenings. Trouble is, it's just too hard. Drive a different car every
day, depending on how I feel...
Hard to pick out a top ten songs or albums. And then, if you really
were on a desert island, you might want a variety of stuff and not
just Tom. I'd like to take a sound recording of my dogs eating
their breakfast, for example, love that noise. Would also take
some Bob Dylan - but hard to say which: Blonde on Blonde and
Bringing It All Back Home most probably, but then what about
Blood on the Tracks? - and Captain Beefheart, maybe Safe as Milk
but again not so sure, Trout Mask Replica would be up there too.
Would take Ziggy Stardust I think. Nirvana not sure which. And
restricting Tom, that's tough. Too hard, too hard, think I'll have to
pass... Or maybe they could start a new show: Desert Island iPod,
then we could fit it some more :-)
