1. Franks Wild Years - could be any one of forty of
Toms but this one is the first I heard and would remind
me of all the others.

2 Police and Thieves- Junior Murvin - -listened to
this practically one everyday for ten years until I
left Ireland and still play it two or three times a week.

3. 54-46 -Toots and the Maytals - still gives me a rush

4. Flower Duet- with Maria Callas ( anyone really)
--absolutely beautiful. Stopped me in my tracks when I
heard it. Human voice at it's lovliest.

5. Everybody hurts -REM -- almost the perfect song .
Achingly wonderful.

6 Pair of Brown Eyes - Pogues -- As beautiful as
MacGowan's smile . To his mother.

7. The Old Triangle - Dubliners I think some of you
would like singer Ronnie Drew's voice, if not the
traditional Irish music.

8.Natural Mystic - Bob Marley and Wailers -- love the
way the bass brings you in to this song , again could
have picked another thrity or forty of his.

9.Blue Monday - New Order --to remind me of my youth
(I wonder what he is doing now) still gets me up at
parties and I'm back in the Eighties , but in reality
now ,its me doing embarassing "Dad's Dancing"

10. Lonesome Boatman - The Furey Brothers -- haunting
I suppose it the word. And it would keep me hopeful
that one would pass by.
