There were a paltry amount of tickets
(and some weird things happening)!
I tried both by phone and by the net from 8.59am
onwards.
Phone
(Tickethotline)...Engaged constantly until automated
message saying
SOLD OUT at about 10.00am.
(Stargreen)....Never got through
Logged on to Stargreen site....Not on Sale till 9.00am
Refreshed at 9.00.....Server crashed....Kept
refreshing constantly...
Got a message saying SOLD OUT at about 10.00.
Opened Stargreen site in a new window at 10.01am.
Clicked on Waits link....Message said Tickets
Available by PHONE only!
At the same time as all of this......
Logged on to Ticketmaster site....Not even mentioned
in listings until 9.00am.
Searched Events for Tom Waits...
After 15 mins worth of refreshing constantly(server
busy)...got a link to the gig.
Put in Request for 2 Tickets Best Available(£65)....
"Nothing meets your criteria"....
Kept refreshing trying different seating plans.....
Eventually(after about another 10 mins)....
I was offered Block 5 Row K 16+17(Halfway back Rear
Circle)
Passed on those.....
Another few minutes passed...
Offered...... Block 11 Row E 8+9(5 rows from the front
of the Circle)
Passed on those...(I was holding out for Stalls seats)
Refreshed again for the best part of an hour....
Offered both Block 4 Row V 37+38(Rear Circle).....and
Rear Circle Row S 27+28.
Passed on those
For the next HOUR kept refreshing
Message either....."Nothing meets your
criteria"....or.....Tickets Online....
Only to find........."Nothing meets your
criteria"....or.......Currently Not On Sale".
Can't say I didn't have a chance to go...but.....
Theres NO WAY on this earth that I'm paying £145 for
2 tickets,5 rows from the front of the Circle in the
Hammersmith Apollo!
Hope the tickets I was offered went to a happy home!
