The Black Rider (or as in German the 'Freischütz') is
an old german (or even other cultures ??) legend about
a hunter possessing one infallible bullet. this bullet
was created by the hunter at a certain date at midnight
at mass while aiming at a communion wafer (?) without
shooting. After that he had to cut a cross in the
bullet. Rather eerie story.... but this is where Carl
Maria von Weber got his inspirations.
