Yes, hope you had a good birthday ginsoaked. Glad you liked the
poem. I emailed you back to say thanks for The Old Triangle - it's
magnificent, I've been playing it a lot. Your story was also great;
my husband's family are from Donegal - he remembers as a kid
on the ferry to Larne his Dad always telling him that the foam on
the sea in the boat's wake was ice cream. He thought the seagulls
were eating it. Some stories just deserve to be true. I heard a
conversation in a pub in Glasgow once between a guy and his
young son. The son asked what kind of soup they were having, to
which the Dad replied: electric soup! The wee boy looked kind of
awestruck, it was funny. Guess it can be quite good fun being a
Dad.
