Oh well done Ginsoakeds-son! That's great.. and if
you're a proud Dad then you SHOULD brag about your kids ;)

Yes I'd think that it would be particularly beneficial
for Joe (5) as he is quite a sensitive soul who tends
to do exactly what the other kids tell him to do. I
think it would boost his confidence in that way too. I
don't mean that he could use his karate on them but
just knowing he can do it might help.

Mrs G should definitely take up Tai Chi - it's really
good for chilling you out - I was about to say it's
easy but actually it can seem very complicated and
daunting to start with then after a few weeks it starts
to fall into place. I should point out that it takes
about 10 years to know how to do it properly so if she
struggles to start with she can take heart that it took
that long for my teacher to feel he had mastered it.

Tai Chi is really good for anyone suffering with RSI or
other joint injuries/discomfort. There are several
people at my class that have exactly those conditions
and they don't have any trouble at all.

Unfortunately, a couple of them suffer from other
*ahem* ailments - put it this way, you wouldn't want to
be standing behind them when they "bend down and scoop
up the sea" (a Tai Chi move) - but that's a story for
some Gin Soaked night when we finally, maybe, all get
together. :)
