I am not so impressed by the numbers. I was using the
redial button and getting about a 5 sec turn around.
So in 15 min I could manage 180 calls. Then there are
easily 290 other people doing the same = 52000
calls/15 min. So what!.

It would be interesting if someone could keep a tally
of the number of tickets on sale by touts. Is it a
big percentage of the total sales? (Carre seats 1600
per show or was it 3200?). Before the Amsterdam sales
started I saw getmetickets.com were advertising
tickets for London at between 250 and 500 pound.
Gulp, I thought. They seemed to have rows 5, 10, 15
and 20 for the Apollo. I assumed then that they had
got the whole row, which seemed like a lot of tickets,
suggesting it was organised/allocated. But maybe they
just had random scatterings.

I still haven't got my tickets, but believe I managed
to order one at 3:30pm CET. After that I surfed for a
while longer and saw more coming available. I had
used up my quota, but kept surfing to see if better
ones were coming. I think this forum is really the
wrong place to be bitching about not having got
tickets. Messages were being posted here
saying "don't give up, just got tickets",and that
possibility lasted from at least 1330 to 1530. I was
getting about 10 "none available" messages for every
time that I got through, and I only could pick up
singles, never saw any doubles. Apart from people
with fatal computer/credit card incompatibilities I
think the main problem is that people either gave up
too early, or put all their eggs into the
telephone/kiosk basket, which is an outdated
technology. I think it is fair to be thoroughly
pissed off and vent your anger ... but do it somewhere
else since this forum is the place where the messages
of hope were being posted that kept me trying and got
me tickets!.

How was it in 2000??. I remember hearing about it
after sales had started, and thought it was a lost
cause, but managed to pick up a ticket to Paris from
the internet ticket office (face value price). Was
that a second show added to the tour, was it even
slower drip releasing or was I just one lucky hound?.

Don't get me wrong I feel really sorry for those who
missed out, but I think it is important to learn from
it rather than put all the blame on the seller. They
had a shitty day at the office too, by the sounds of
it...
