I would believe 52000 separate callers too. That is
still a 1 in 10 chance of a seat. I reckon it was
higher. If they have the technology to count them why
couldn't they work out the technology to prevent the
system from crashing?.

Yup I had no luck at all with Carre by phone or
website - all the action was at ticketmaster.nl. The
tips here (like "got two!" by klick23 at 1544 and jose
at 1642 or "still possible" at 1528 by raindog pascal
are now at page 61-90 in the forum. (They must be
moscow times). It was after a 3rd message that I
decided that these weren't cruel hoaxes. But it took
a lot of blank searches to get one hit, so you needed
a lot of faith and determination.

I had done some preparation a few days beforehand,
rang to the Carre office to get it quite clear how it
was going to work. They knew nothing about
ticketmaster's timing (10am) (and apparently ditto).
But from three separate calls I got told three
different telephone numbers as the right one to call
from outside Holland. And a few minutes before 9am I
checked again on the web site and there was a fourth
number for foreigners. Who knows which was the right
one - I tried all of them of course!.

By better I mean rang 1, 2 etc. I am not sure if I
saw any rang 1 at all - they looked like the only ones
worth getting, but I was desperate and very happy with
rang 4. I think I was fooled sometimes by seeing row
1 - but in rang 4. Of course like everyone else I was
in too much of a rush to write down the seat detail
because of the 3 min limit - I was too slow the first
time and lost the order :-( So I still don't really
know what I got.... or for that matter IF I got!. I
don't trust anything in this game.

The other thing that helped was that I had already
registered a profile on the ticketmaster site well
before the kick-off. And I didn't have any problem
with the visa card making a jump to another site that
others have reported. There are also tips in the
forum about the need to have cookies enabled and
similar things. Someone should gather these into
a "how-to" guide for ticket ordering. Soon there will
be the second London show going on sale (rumour
only). Have we learnt enough?.

Great nick by the way. I wonder if I could take Hairy
Raindog instead?.
