My first impression of TW music was the same as yours
I'm afraid to say Jake.. but anyway.. it was about 6 or
7 years ago and I was played some TW and I didn't like
it at all. The person that played it to me said that
with TW suddenly it will just hit you like a train..
you'll realise his genius.. and that's what happened.
One day I was listening to Mule Variations, in
particular Picture In A Frame.. that was the train that
hit me. I've been drinking in as much TW as I can
since.. and am totally hooked.
Same happened to my BF.. he was backpacking (in other
words DRINKING) his way around Greece and was
introduced to the music by some Greek guy.. exactly the
same.. he didn't like it at all.. Now he is TW's
biggest fan.. or so I thought, until I started reading
this forum :)
Without getting too personal; our relationship is
(sometimes rather unfortunately) like something from a
Waits song.. me a barmaid - him a drunk.. etc etc blah
blah blah.. anyway, bored now.. move on.. next please!
