1. In your previous message, you said Sinterklaas is
practically only celebrated in Holland. What about
Belgium? They celebrate it here too.

2. A more appropriate translation for Zwarte Pieten
would be Black Petes.

And last but certainly not least, you stated that
Sinterklaas was totally different from Santa Claus.
That's not quite true. Both (Sinterklaas and Santa
Claus) have the same etymolical origin. Saint Nicolas
was the patron of children, declared to be holy by
the church, celebrated on the 6th of decembre. Santa
Claus is invented for a commercial purpose and is
actually the same man. That's why both wear red robes
and have long white beards. Santa Claus is the
secularized version of the Catholic Sinterklaas or
Saint Nicholas.
