Sinterklaas is zéker een katholieke figuur. Waarom
denk je dat hij een mijter draagt? (het hoofddeksel
van een bischop). Bischop Nicolaas, later heilig
verklaard, is bekend geworden doordat hij in Spanje
gastarbeiders tewerkstelde, met name de zwarte
Pieten. Waren feitelijk slaven dus.
